Reception Desks

This dramatic desk is the focal point of the reception area at the New York City headquarters of a major publisher. The patterned stainless steel fascia and brushed stainless steel worksurface contrast with inverted “L” end sections finished in high gloss orange lacquer. A glass transaction counter rests on stainless steel stand-offs. Individual elements, factory finished, were assembled and installed on site in under 3 hours.

An ebonized oak end section complements the brushed aluminum laminate and glass transaction counter of the front of this Reception Desk for a major investment banking firm. Value engineering reduced the cost of this design by over 25%.

A storage wall, with cabinets accessible from the rear, backs up this Reception Desk which incorporates the colorful corporate logo, reproduced as a three dimensional design accent on the desk’s curved fascia. The materials and design replicate the Spanish firms reception area in Madrid, modified to fit the available space.

Overhead lighting is refracted by the aluminum fascia’s textured pattern of this Reception Desk. The transaction counter and end panel that frame the desk are solid surface Corian.

The modular elements of this Nurses Station design provide a cost saving solution for the common functions of differently sized areas within the hospital. Individual stations are easily reconfigured or expanded as requirements change.

This high-traffic area Reception Desk receives a range of packages, oversized mail and courier deliveries. The transaction counter is protected with a contoured four inch high extruded aluminum edge to insure durability.
