Security Desks

The “U” shaped configuration of this Security Desk precisely fits the limited available space and is built to ergonomically accommodate technology. Sight lines to visitors in the adjacent lobby are maintained above the recessed CCTV screens, and hinged screen frames, on piston assisted lifts, provide access to cabling located within the desk structure.

This Security Desk incorporates rack mounted technology as specified by the client’s security consultant. We interfaced between the consultant and the project designer to insure fidelity to both the desk’s aesthetics and functional equipment requirements. To maintain the look of the Corian capped transaction surface, we developed a unique ventilation system to exhaust air along the exterior kick space.

Monitoring security on the screens of this around-the-clock station required accommodating worksurface and keyboard positions for a diverse group of operators. We provided fully adjustable worksurfaces, operated with a paddle release, to insure appropriate ergonomics and prevent stress. Tinted and lockable glass doors were an additional requirement.
